I was walking down the street having a what-am-I-doing-with-my-life moment today when I looked up at the sky and then down at the ground. Sitting in the dirt (far from the sea), was this shell. Thanks, universe.
i wish you all the best of luck in your new country and new continent! i’m moving across the country from virginia to california in a few months, and though it’s not nearly as far as you’ve travelled, i feel i can relate (or will relate once i get there). i have moments of extreme excitement and then moments where i feel like my insides are freaking out. but i know it’s a good thing and i know it will just take time and once i’m there for a few months, i’ll wonder what the heck i was ever worried about 🙂
You rock, girl! Love your appreciation for nature and although you may be homesick for Hawaii…Australia isn’t all that bad:-) Studied abroad in Sydney…not sure which town/city you are in but taking the coogee to bondi beach trail along the water will bring you comfort and peace (I promise)!
Make sure you remember that moment! I moved to Austrlia last year so can understand how you feel. I knew 1 person, but now I have made so many good friends – and you will be the same just give it time. I love this post…maybe because I get called Shell hehe x
