tagaytay

Recently rediscovered these photos from my February trip to the Philippines. Taal Lake, in Tagaytay, is the world’s largest volcanic crater lake on an island in a lake on an island. I’m not sure if that makes sense, but it’s pretty amazing.

P.S. If you’re ever in the neighborhood, eat at Antonio’s. It was delightful.

  1. i must admit, when i saw the title in my google reader, i was hopeful that it had something to do with this beautiful place in the philippines, and got pretty excited when it was:) I don’t remember much because i was a little girl when we visited this lovely place. all i remember was fog, mountains, and horses. the first time i rode a horse (i think it was a pony – i chickened out when i was offered to ride on a horse) was in tagaytay. regardless, i remember it to be beautiful. oh and i remember lots of mosquitoes:P

    thanks for this beautiful post:)

  5. I agree, we lived in Manila for 2 years, and Antonio’s is an oasis. We would go there for brunch on the weekend – to escape the smog of Manila and enjoy a delicious meal.
